How does the booking engine make money for Search Huntr?
We collect a 1.5% platform fee per booking via Stripe Connect's application_fee_amount. You keep 98.5% of every dollar minus Stripe's standard processing fee. There's no monthly software cost.
When do I get paid?
Funds land in your Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule (typically 2 business days for US accounts). Search Huntr never holds your money.
Can I take deposits instead of full payment?
Yes. Each hunt template has a deposit percentage (default 50%). The hunter pays the deposit at booking, and you can send a balance payment link before the trip date.
Do I have to use the booking engine?
Not at all. You can claim your listing and use Search Huntr only for visibility and direct inquiries. The booking engine is opt-in.
Can I embed bookings on my own website?
Yes. After you connect Stripe and create hunt templates, the dashboard gives you a one-line snippet that drops a booking widget onto your existing site. Hunters never have to leave your domain to book.
What happens after the 21-day Featured trial?
You'll get a reminder email 3 days before it ends. If you don't subscribe, your listing reverts to a standard free listing — you don't lose your dashboard, bookings, or waivers.
