About
Lone Tree Outfitters guides antelope, mule deer, whitetail, bull and cow elk, bighorn sheep and turkey hunts in central Wyoming. The outfitter is based on State Highway 220 in Alcova, on the North Platte River about 25 minutes south of Casper, and holds Wyoming big game outfitter license BG-328. It grew out of Lone Tree Drift Boat Rental and Guide Service, which started more than 23 years ago. Archery and rifle hunts are offered for most species. Hunts run two hunters per guide, with one-on-one guiding available for an extra fee. Whitetail hunts are mainly on private land. Each hunt is sold two ways: a lodge package that includes lodging and all meals, or a town package where you arrange your own lodging, breakfast and dinner. Posted prices run from $1,500 for a three-day turkey hunt to $15,000 for a ten-day bighorn sheep hunt, before license fees and guide gratuities.
